Online safety - Beginner

Online Safety and Cybersecurity Basics

Protect your money, accounts, phone and reputation online. Learn to spot scams, build strong passwords, guard your privacy and know where to get help.

About this course

More of life now happens on phones and computers: mobile money, school and work, family chats, job hunting and business. This also means more people try to trick, steal from or harass others online. Most attacks do not need clever hacking. They need you to click, reply or share a secret by mistake.

This course teaches the habits that stop most problems. You will learn how scams and viruses work, how to protect your accounts and phone, how to control what others can see about you, and what to do if something goes wrong. You will also learn how to be kind and safe in online spaces, and how to help children and young people.

No technical background is needed. Every lesson ends with a short activity you can do on your own phone or computer.
